About Urbandale, Iowa
Located in Polk and Dallas counties, Urbandale, Iowa, is a charming city with a A+ school system and a high rating in satisfaction by its residents. So much so that Urbandale ranked #2 in livability in Iowa, and #8 for a city in the U.S. Originally, the city developed as a “streetcar suburb” of Des Moines. For those into outdoor activities, these trails connect to other trails in the Des Moines area, giving residents and visitors a chance to explore the larger area. The city is serviced by a number of school districts, including: Dallas Center–Grimes Community School District; Johnston School District; Waukee School District; West Des Moines School District; and Urbandale Community School District. There is also a large option of private schools, including both Christian and Catholic private schools.
